Clinical Supervision for

Counsellors & Therapists

A space to reflect, explore & grow in confidence as a practitioner

Being a therapist can be deeply rewarding, but it can also be complex, demanding and, at times, quite isolating. Supervision offers an opportunity to step away from the responsibility of holding space for others and have somewhere to think about your own work, your responses and your development as a practitioner.

My approach to supervision is relational, collaborative and grounded in over ten years of clinical experience working with trauma, emotional distress and complex presentations. I believe good supervision should be more than reviewing cases or checking that we're working ethically. It should be a space where you feel able to be curious, ask questions, explore uncertainty and develop your own confidence and clinical judgement.

My Approach to Supervision

I work with the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision, which allows us to explore the therapeutic process from different perspectives, including the client, the therapeutic relationship, your own responses and the wider context of your work.

My background is in person-centred therapy, EMDR and somatic trauma work, and I bring this knowledge into supervision where relevant. I'm particularly interested in helping therapists develop a deeper understanding of what may be happening beneath the presenting difficulties, including nervous system responses, protective patterns, attachment experiences and the impact of trauma.

However, supervision isn't about encouraging you to work in the same way as me. It's about supporting you to develop your own approach, strengthen your clinical understanding and work in a way that feels authentic to you and appropriate for your clients.

Neurodivergent and ADHD-Affirming Therapy

If you have ADHD, autism, dyslexia or another neurodivergence diagnosed or otherwise, this adds another important layer to understand.

Not everything is a trauma response, and neurodivergence isn't something I believe needs to be fixed.

We'll look at what is part of the way your brain naturally works, what your nervous system has learned through stress, relationships and past experiences, and where the two interact.

Repeatedly trying to force yourself towards strategies that don't fit the way your brain works leaves you feeling as though you're the problem.

My approach works with the way your individual brain and nervous system are wired, rather than trying to make you function like somebody else.

What Can We Explore in Supervision?

Our work together might include:

EXPLORING

Client presentations and the therapeutic relationship

understanding

Trauma responses, nervous system patterns and protective behaviours

REFLECTING

On your emotional and somatic responses to client work

WORKING

Through uncertainty, stuckness or challenging therapeutic dynamics

CONSIDERING

Client presentations and the therapeutic relationship

DEVELOPING

Confidence when working with more complex presentations

SUPPORTING

your professional development and wellbeing

There is room for the practicalities of clinical work, but also for the things that are sometimes harder to articulate.

You don't need to arrive with everything neatly worked out. Sometimes the most useful supervision begins with,

"There's something about this client that I can't quite put my finger on."

Who I Work With

I offer clinical supervision to qualified counsellors and therapists, particularly those working with trauma, anxiety, relational difficulties and complex emotional presentations.

Whether you're looking to deepen your understanding of trauma, develop your existing practice or simply have a consistent, supportive space to reflect on your work, supervision can be tailored to your experience and professional needs.

Supervision Sessions

Sessions are available online, offering flexibility around your clinical practice and other commitments.

Fees: £60 per 60-minute session. £90 per hour and half sessions (as required by BACP and NCPS)

If you're considering supervision with me, you're welcome to get in touch so we can explore whether working together would be a good fit.
