Trauma Therapy For Adults

Specialist support for anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and the lasting impact of early experiences.

Whether you’ve lived with the impact of childhood wounds for many years, or you’re only just beginning to understand how your past affects your present, healing is possible.

I offer a limited number of 1:1 trauma therapy spaces for adults experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, and emotional dysregulation. Our work is gentle, relational, and paced carefully so your nervous system feels supported, not pushed.

My approach to trauma therapy is relational, somatic, and carefully paced. Many of the clients I work with are used to pushing through or over-functioning, often without realising how much this has cost their nervous system.

In our work together, we’ll focus on building safety first. That means paying attention not just to what you think and feel, but also to how your body responds.

Therapy is not about reliving the past or forcing insight, it’s about creating enough stability in the present so change becomes possible.

I work collaboratively, respecting your autonomy and going at a pace that feels manageable. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear story, we’ll make sense of things together.

Ways To Work With Me

I work primarily with clients through my Regulated Self™ 6-Month Programme, a focused trauma therapy pathway offering 1:1 sessions alongside carefully curated online resources. This structure allows your nervous system to receive the consistency, care, and integration it needs for meaningful, lasting change.

For those who are not yet ready to commit to a longer programme, I also offer 3-hour intensive sessions. These provide a contained space to explore what’s happening for you, gain clarity, and leave with a grounded plan to support the next steps in your healing.

About Sarah

I’m a highly qualified and experienced psychotherapist specialising in trauma, nervous system regulation, and EMDR-informed work.

I’ve spent over a decade working with adults impacted by childhood trauma, long-term stress, and emotional overwhelm.

My clinical approach is informed not only by extensive professional training, but by lived experience of how trauma shapes the nervous system over time.

It was through body-based therapies that I came to understand how lasting change happens. Today, my work blends somatic, relational, and neuroscience-informed approaches.

I take great pride in supporting clients to create meaningful change without needing to relive the past or push themselves beyond what feels safe.

How We Begin

Our work starts with a 20–30 minute free assessment call. This is a space to briefly explore what’s bringing you to therapy, ask any questions, and get a sense of whether this way of working feels right for you.

Following the assessment call, we’ll decide together which option is the best fit and arrange your first session.

Sessions are offered in person from my private garden therapy space in Nantwich, Cheshire, or online via Zoom for clients who prefer remote sessions or are based further afield.
